Initial/First Assessment
What to Expect During Your Initial Ayurvedic Assessment
At Healing Herbs, we are committed to helping you achieve optimal health and well-being through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Your first consultation is an essential step in understanding your unique constitution, current health status, and personalized path to balance.
Scope of the Initial Assessment
-
Comprehensive Health Evaluation:
-
We will review your Health Intake Form and discuss your medical history, current health concerns, lifestyle, diet, and daily routines.
-
Your Prakriti (natural constitution) and Vikriti (current imbalances) will be assessed based on the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
-
-
Personalized Recommendations:
-
Based on your dosha assessment, we will provide tailored recommendations for:
-
Diet: Foods that balance your doshas and support your health.
-
Lifestyle: Daily routines (Dinacharya) and seasonal practices (Ritucharya) to align with your constitution.
-
Herbs: Ayurvedic herbs and formulations to support your well-being.
-
Self-Care Practices: Techniques such as oil massage (Abhyanga), yoga, and meditation to promote balance.
-
-
-
Educational Approach:
-
Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to take charge of your own health. We will educate you on Ayurvedic principles and Shamana practices (palliative measures to alleviate symptoms and restore balance).
-
Out of Scope
-
Diagnosis or Treatment of Diseases:
Ayurveda focuses on preserving health and alleviating imbalances but does not claim to cure diseases. We recommend consulting a licensed medical professional for diagnosis and treatment of specific medical conditions. -
Emergency Care:
This consultation is not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please seek immediate assistance from a healthcare provider. -
One-Size-Fits-All Solutions:
Ayurveda is highly individualized. Recommendations will be tailored to your unique constitution and needs, so they may differ from general advice.
Ayurveda’s Goal: Preservation of Health
Ayurveda’s primary aim is to preserve health and prevent disease by maintaining balance in the body, mind, and spirit. While Ayurveda can help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life, it is not a replacement for modern medical treatments. Instead, it complements conventional medicine by addressing the root cause of imbalances and promoting holistic well-being.
